Although tbdNOW officially launched in January 2020, owner Nancy Walsh has been developing and administering leadership and professional development programs for over a decade, working closely with local non-profits, county agencies, and community leaders. Long-term, responsive relationships with the organizations and individuals she serves continue to be the foundation of tbdNOW’s success and vision.
Nancy serves as a consultant to the Montgomery Bar Association (“MBA”) where she develops and oversees various leadership, engagement, and diversity initiatives, including their award-winning Leadership Academy and Robert E. Slota, Jr. Diversity Internship Program. She was an organizer and featured speaker for the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Minority Bar Committee’s Diversity Summit, a keynote speaker for the PA Economic Developers' Association, and a frequent presenter, facilitator and trainer for Montgomery County’s Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Commerce, and Executive Leadership Team. She regularly develops programs, retreats, and trainings for local non-profits and private clients. She is also a Certified Executive Coach who provides services to individuals ranging from college students to seasoned professionals.
Prior to launching tbdNOW, Nancy was the Director of Engagement, Leadership and Community Outreach at the Montgomery Bar Association, where she led leadership and professional development, membership engagement, diversity, community outreach, and access to justice initiatives. The MBA honored her diversity work with the Champion of Diversity award, and the Pennsylvania Legal Action Network awarded her the prestigious PLAN award for her access to justice work throughout Montgomery County, including her involvement with the launch of the Eviction Prevention and Intervention Coalition (“EPIC”). In 2023, the MBA awarded her the President’s Award for her work benefitting “the legal profession and the citizens of Montgomery County.”
TbdNOW continues to grow, primarily through referrals and requests for expansion of services from existing clients. A keen understanding of the challenges, identities, and potentials of our clients, as well as an ability to adapt and innovate, allowed the organization to not only survive a launch in the midst of a pandemic, but to discover and embrace new ways to thrive, and to help others do the same. Currently, Nancy is the sole employee of tbdNOW, but collaboration with several partners and advisors allows her to maximize efficiency and productivity. Plans for growth focus on the expansion of services to a select pool of clients rather than a significant expansion of the number of clients we serve, allowing us to continue to increase the depth of those relationships and our ability to provide personalized services.
Nancy spent a decade as an adjunct professor at Arcadia University, where she taught and developed courses for their honors Leadership program, as well as courses in writing and expression. She received her B.A. in English and Theater from the University of Notre Dame, her M.A. in English from Villanova University, and her secondary education certification through the graduate program at Holy Family University. Nancy is happily married to the Honorable Joseph Walsh with whom she has raised three kind and beautiful daughters, Shannon, Bridget and Maggie.
